Welcome To The St. Johns River Alliance
The St. Johns River Alliance (SJRA), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization was formed in 2003. Governed by a regional, 34 member Board of Directors that includes elected officials, agencies, citizens and businesses, the SJRA's board members represent the entire 310 miles of Florida's river that uniquely flows north.

February 16 - Benefit Concert for St. Johns Riverkeeper and thank you to retiring Riverkeeper Neil Armingeon. Florida Theater, Jacksonville, 8 pm.

Tuesday, January 31, was a busy day: Jax meeting of Florida Conservation Coalition and St. Johns Riverkeeper Neil Armingeon's last day! Sign up to help save Florida's natural land here and read about the new St. Johns Riverkeeper here.
Follow the team on their 1,000-mile trek of the Florida Wildlife Corridor, starting Jan. 17 in the Everglades, along the St. Johns River and ending in the Okefenokee NWR in 100 days. Their message is the need to preserve Florida's natural areas to protect wildlife, and clean air and water for all.

The new St. Johns River to Sea Loop Summary Report reviews the status of the bike loop through each of its five counties. The report reflects the high priority accorded trails by new home buyers...and the superior job-creating results per $1 million spent for trail-only projects as against road-only projects and how dollars invested in trails already reach an annual return for one-time investments of almost $9 to $1. The Loop gets more press (Hometown News, November 18, 2011) in Titusville as Mayor Jim Tulley enthusiastically supports the project and says, "Trails have become...viable economic engines for the communities near them." Click here to read the article.

To preserve, protect, promote, restore and celebrate the St. Johns River as an American Heritage River in recognition of its ecological, historic, economic, recreational and cultural significance, so that the public may gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the river's importance to the quality of life for current and future generations.
