Mullet Lake Park, a 55-acre park located in Geneva.  Mullet Lake offers boat launching, pavilions and camping in a rustic setting.  15 hike in, "pack in pack out" Campsites are available including 1 large group site with a block fire ring. For camping information, please contact 407-665-2180

Boat Ramps

Cameron Wight Boat Ramp, a 3-acre park used as a boat launching facility into the beautiful St. Johns river basin. It is located 5 miles east of US 17-92 on State Road 46 at the Lake Jesup Bridge.

C.S. Lee Boat Ramp, a 3-acre park used as a boat launching facility into the beautiful St. Johns River basin. It is located 15 miles east of US 17-92 on State Road 46 just before crossing the St. John's River at the Seminole County Line.

Lake Monroe Wayside Boat Ramp is located on the southwest shore of Lake Monroe off of 17-92.  3 floating docks and 2 wide ramps offer enough room for 4 vessels to launch at once.  There is also ample parking on the property.  After boating take a walk on the historic swing bridge converted to a fishing pier or picnic in one of 2 pavilions.

Launch your kayak at King's Landing on Rock Springs Run.  Spend the day fishing, swimming and paddling in the near-pristine run and 8.5 miles down the Wekiva River.  Loomis Adventures also offers shuttle service, kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, and a bait shop.  Located at 5722 Baptist Camp Road, Apopka. Boat Tours

The St. Johns Rivership Company's paddleboat, "The Barbara Lee," cruises for lunch, dinner and holiday tours from the marina at 433 North Palmetto Avenue in Sanford.  Click here or call 321-441-3030 for reservations.

Tadpole Boat Tours offers private trips departing from Sanford.  Cruises include sunrise tours, fishing trips, and history tours of the Sanford Waterfront Harbor and Lake Monroe.

Towns and Attractions

The historic town of Sanford on Lake Monroe has restaurants, hotels and places to visit.  One of our favorites is the Central Florida Zoo, located at 3755 NW Highway 17-92, Sanford (exit 104 off I-4).  You can see over 400 animals and botanical gardens and try out the Zoom Air Adventure and laser tag.  The zoo is open daily 9 am - 5 pm (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas).  Call 407-323-4450 or click here.
